ALLSUP TEAMS WITH NATIONAL FAMILY CAREGIVERS ASSOCIATION

April 2010 — Collaboration will enhance services and provide additional assistance to individuals and their caregivers.

Allsup and the National Family Caregivers Association (NFCA) have announced plans to combine their expertise and resources to enhance their ability to serve caregivers and their families.

Allsup, the nation's premier provider of Social Security Disability Insurance representation and Medicare plan selection services, works with hundreds of family caregivers each year, guiding them and their loved ones through the often complex and lengthy SSDI application process.

"NFCA is a trusted voice, founded and staffed by individuals who truly understand what it means to be a family caregiver," said Allsup CEO Jim Allsup. "They have consistently worked to identify family caregiver needs and our collaboration will help Allsup better understand and meet those needs."

Planned collaborative activities include caregiver research, public education and awareness-raising and development of healthcare and financial planning materials for caregivers.

"Allsup is a great partner for NFCA because we share a common goal of helping caregiving families who tend to have lower incomes and higher out-of-pocket medical expenses than the typical American family," said NFCA president and CEO Suzanne Mintz. "Through our partnership, we will be able to provide solid financial advice and assistance to family caregivers to help them improve the quality of their day-to-day lives."
